Puzzle Details
Basing on the idea of the Impossible Dodecahedron, Dave Litwin built the first Kilominx prototype using a Megaminx core. The edge pieces are cut down and the corners have been extended. The flower-like gaps in the center of each face are necessary to avoid, that the pieces block each other during rotation.
The Kilominx twists absolutely smooth, it is a perfect built. Also the sticker colours (including silver and gold) are well-chosen because it is always an issue to find enough appropriate colours which look aesthetic aside five neighbouring faces.
In November 2009 Mèffert released this puzzle under the name FlowerMinx as a limited edition.
