What information is collected
The following information is collected:
- first name, last name
- email address as contact information and login
- password hash (no password in plain text of course!!)
- details about your registration: day of arrival, number and name of the participants, required tables for the event
- log of your web site activity, visible to yourself in the 'Status' section of the registration page
Only information given by you is stored. This data is essential to make sure that you can be informed about any activities regarding the announced event.
No cookies are used additionally.
How the information is used
The given personal information is exclusively used to contact you about the organisation of the German Cube Day. There is no other usage for other internal reasons
or any share with 3rd parties.
The current website is technically hosted by 1&1, who take care about high security services, as server protection against hijacking or unauthorized administative database access. In addition, the site is completely secured by SSL. No plain text passwords are transmitted, but only hashes to allow authentication. All information given is limited to the GCD organiser. Only your full name associated with your event status (participating or not, arrival day, required tables) will be visible to the other registered participants. Your email address will not be visible to others than the GCD organiser.
Your rights are guaranteed under EU law General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 and the GCD organiser will comply with this law.
If you believe that any of your personal information stored within the site is incorrect or incomplete, please write by email to gcd(at)tiex.de. Then the necessary steps can be taken.
